Introducing you to our IT business development manager, Andrew Marsh

When he is not enjoying a trip abroad, Andrew Marsh is hard at work as our IT business development manager

Away from his role as senior business development manager, Andrew Marsh likes nothing better than a good holiday! Dubai is one of his favourite destinations, he loves to explore and enjoys the first class customer service.

‘Working within a customer orientated role, I like Dubai because I value the service. You can’t put a price on how top-quality service makes you feel!’

Andrew also enjoys weekends away with his wife, Brussels London and Edinburgh are particular favourites and he is a big Formula 1 fan with a taste for Belgian beer!

When I left school I joined a youth training scheme at a tech company and remained for a year and a half building up my IT knowledge.

I then moved to another technology company and was there for 25 years. I worked with a fantastic range of customers some of whom I still work with today.

Everything I do is about creating a long term relationship with my customers. Giving the best advice and helping to solve any IT and technology problems they may be facing.

I moved to Activ Technology as a senior business development manager working within the IT side, as IT and solutions is my speciality.

I also have direct access to our managing director, Ian Gillespie. Decisions are made quickly and I work hand-in-hand with the IT technical teams.

For me, the culture at Activ is fantastic as customer service is at the heart of what we do. I really enjoy meeting with customers, assessing their IT and business needs and designing and supplying solutions to meet their requirements.

How do we stand out?

We offer an end-to-end integrated service. Customers don’t just have access to IT support, they also have the opportunity to access other services including unified communications, mobile and energy packages. We aim to provide a top class customer experience, we do the thinking so they don’t have to.

The key for me is to be honest with customers. We are all human and creating trust and loyalty is the foundation for any long-lasting partnership.

I have been at Activ for just over four years now and we work in an ever-changing business environment. As a result, self-learning is critical as is being innovative and thinking outside of the box.
