Technical Administrator

Salary Dependent on Experience and Accreditations £15-£27K

Job Purpose

Installation of IT systems and technical support at the 1st and 2nd line level

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide desktop and server support
  • Supporting and maintaining MS Server/Desktops
  • Supporting Apprentices in their technical development and mentoring
  • Setting up and configuring new laptops and desktops
  • Installing authorised software to laptops and desktops
  • Ensuring security and upgrades are applied to desktops and laptops and kept up to date
  • Antivirus installation to all desktops and laptops
  • Fault finding to laptops and desktops
  • Reporting faults and maintaining logs on servers, desktops and laptops
  • Completing internal use moves including phones
  • Patching of network and phones
  • Ensuring all cases are correctly logged, updated and closed correctly in CRM
  • Installing authorised software
  • Ensuring patches and upgrades are applied to servers and PC’s
  • Fault finding
  • Ensuring licensing for all software purchased is recorded and maintained
  • Office 365 administration
  • Setting up new users and disabling expired accounts in accordance with HR requirements
  • Performing administrative support duties as required
  • Work on the delivery of projects as assigned by the Head of Technology.
  • Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the Technology and Senior Technology
  • Working extra hours to meet deadline, as required and where reasonable
  • Providing assistance and support to colleagues in IT-related matters
  • Ensuring that a high level of customer service and support is provided to call customers
  • Adhering to company protocol as laid out in the Company Handbook
  • Additional responsibilities as requested by the IT manager
  • To provide out of hours support when required
  • Work in Morning and Afternoon Shifts as required by the business

Job Type: Full-time 40 Hours Per week
Required experience: 3 years Minimum
